GLADSTONE SPORTS’ ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Gladstone Sports’ Association was held in the Parish Hall last night, Mr C. J. Bread presiding. The president reported having arranged with the trustees of the Thomson Estate for the purchase of a suitable sports area. The proposed rules of the Association were read and approved with a view to having the Association duly incorporated. The objects of the body are to provide and maintain a sports and recreation ground with the necessary enclosures and pavilions, and to encourage games, recreation and sports of all kinds by the premotion of competitions. Candidates for admission as members must be members of the Waihopai Bowling Club, the Waihopai Tennis Club, or the Waihopai Croquet Club. The annual subscription will be 2/6.
