WOMAN BANKRUPT
MOTION FOR CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS (Per United Press Association). DUNEDIN, May 3. At a further meeting of the creditors in the estate of Sophia Ellens, a married woman, of Caversham, recently adjudicated bankrupt, because of the failure of two fruit-shops at Timaru, the bankrupt’s solicitor said that the woman had muddled the whole thing as the result of her ignorance of the business. A motion was carried that the affairs of bankrupt be referred to the Crown Solicitor with the view to crminal
