SEQUAH
INTERESTING DEMONSTRATION. Sequah, the man of miracles, as he is often called, always creates a stir wherever he goes, and it is not surprising that his visit has set the people of Invercargill talking about him. The large crowd which assembled in Woods’ garage last evening is sufficient evidence on that point, and if the applause which followed the conclusion of his address is regarded as a true indication of the feeling of those present the visitor is assured of crowded attendances for the remainder of his season. He gave a striking demonstration of the power of his remedies by treating Mr D. Hinton, of Esk St., a resident of forty-seven years who has suffered from sciatica for four years, and has had to use a heavy walking stick. He was assisted into the car and Sequah applied his remedies. During a short interval Sequah gave a most instructive address, detailing on the many ailments that come within the jurisdiction of his personally prescribed remedies. Mr Hinton was then asked if the pain had left him. “Yes,” he smilingly replied. “Then step down and pass through the crowd,” Sequah said. Mr Hinton complied, passing through the audience and remounting the car unassisted and without the aid of his stick; in fact he was quite able to leave the garage without its support. In conclusion, Sequah announced that along with Madame Sequah, he will be in attendance at his office, Esk street, daily from 10 a.m. till Ip.m. for free consultation.
