FORSAKING CANADA
SETTLERS GOING TO UNITED STATES (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) OTTAWA, April 26. (Received April 27, 8.45 p.m.) The Canadian Government is greatly disturbed over the continued exodus of Canadians to the United States, which is rapidly overtaking the immigration into Canada and may even nullify the extraordinary efforts and expenditure of the new campaign to bring Scots and English farmers to the Dominion. The United States Consulate reports that there are a large number of applicants for permits to enter the United States.
