THE BAINFIELD FRIESIAN HERD IS THE CHAMPION BUTTERFAT PRODUCING HERD OF ALL BREEDS IN AUSTRALASIA The FRIESIAN CATTLE to be sold this year are the finest selection the Vendor has yet bred for sale. Included in the Bulls is the Champion Butterfat Bull of the Southern Hemisphere. This bull’s four nearest dams have all been tested by the Department of Agriculture, and their four records average no less than 818 lbs. of butter-fat. No one can go wrong by buying from this herd. Other bulls to be sold are bred from dams whose records average 824 lbs. butter-fat (two nearest dams), also 896 lbs, 809 lbs, 719 lbs, 749 lbs, 722 lbs, 7641b5, 7761b5, 7941b5, 7451b5, etc. The average test of the dams ranges as high as 4.4 per cent, for the full year. The whole of the stock to be sold are either sired by Rosevale King Sylvia or are bred from his daughters, in which case they are sired by Prince Pietertje of Bainfield, a son of Westmere Princess Pietertje. The dam of Rosevale King Sylvia produced 983 lbs. of butterfat, and his first four-year-old daughter to be tested produced over 800 lbs. of fat. Breeding will tell. The average of his two nearest dams’ records is 821 lbs. of fat, average test 3.8 per cent and all » his daughters at Bainfield are high testers. The twelve heifers to be sold are the best bred butter-fat heifers yet offered in New Zealand. They will be all in calf to sons of Westntere Princess Pietertje, 939 lbs. of butter-fat in a year, as a four-year-old, average test 3.8 per cent. , BAINFIELD ROMNEYS Are noted as one of the beAt studs in New Zealand. The Stud is maintained at the highest level regardless of cost. Last year 100 of the Rams were sold to the Wanganui and Wairarapa districts of the Ndtth Island. The buyers express themselves as delighted with the sheep. These acknowledgments of the quality, constitution, and great utility value of the Bainfield , Romneys speak for themselves.
