QUICK DIVORCE
FACILITIES AT HUME. (By Telegraph.—Press .Assn.—Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association). ROME, October 3. The free city of Fiume has become the centre of divorce for the whole of Italy, w here divorce is not permitted. There were 1500 divorces granted in Fiume last year. An applicant has merely to become naturalised as a Fiume citizen, and divorce is then posable in one week, the tariff varying with the wealth and position of parties. Divorce fees now form a big part of Flume’s revenue which has fallen off since the war owing to the Jugo-Slavs boycotting the port and using the Danube route when possible. It is expected that the number will be ooubled this year.
