WINTON EXPERIMENTAL PLOT.

To the Editor. Sir.—From the point of view of a farmer of long standing in the Western District, also of a financial member of the Southland A. and P. Society, permit me briefly, to enter a protest against the personnel of the Committee appointed to go into the question and report upon a recommendation for the Southland and Otautau Societies to join up with a view to establishing an experimental farm in the vicinity of Winton. Representation on above should be selected over the whole of the area affected, including the eastern and western districts. Consequently the interests of all farmers could best be served in conjunction with the organisation of the Farmers’ Union. 1 am etc., FARMER. Isla Bank, September 30.
