AUCKLAND POLICE COURT

CHARGES OF FORGERY AND FALSE PRETENCES (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 22. Charges of forging and uttering three cheques were admitted by John Andrew Riddell at the Police Court. He was committed for sentence. Nine charges of obtaining money by false pretences were denied by Henry Edward Marsh. The offences were Alleged to have taken place at Auckland, Pukekohe, Rotorua, and Tauranga. The evidence was to the effect that accused tendered cheques which were dishonoured by the bank. In the first three months of the yea/ the bank dishonoured cheques amounting to £3ll. Accused was committed for trial, bailDeing allowed.
