(Received May 22, 7.15 p.m.) Following upon the receipt of abusive letters by both the Mayor and the city manager of Columbia, Georgia, as the result of the installation of a new form of city government, a masked party kidnapped and badly beat the city manager and a dynamite bomb was exploded at the Mayor’s residence, destroying the building and damaging all the neighbouring structures.
