THE SUN. The Sun rises to-day at 7.40 a.m. The Sun sets to-day at 4.46 p.m. PORT OF BLUFF. S.s. Malady Lodge sailed for Newcastle at 11 p.m. last- night. S.s. Tasmania is expected to arrive from Dunedin on Wednesday. The Tekoa, from Glasgow and Liverpool, via Wellington, has been delayed and will not now leave Lyttelton for Dunedin till to-day. After discahrging 980 tons of general cargo, she will go to Port Chalmers to have a propeller fitted. The vessel will then load at Timaru and Lyttelton, and will leave Wellington finally for Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow. The Union Company advise that the s.s. Wanaka left Auckland for Bluff direct on Saturday last, where she is due on Wednesday next, loading the same day for Auckland, via coastal ports. ROYAL MAIL STEAMERS. The Niagara, from Vancouver, for Honolulu, Suva, and Auckland, is due at that port on June 9, thence to Sydney. The Makura, from Sydney, is to leave Auckland to-day for Vancouver, where she is due on June 10. The Tahiti left San Francisco on May 5 for Wellington, where she is due on May 27. She will sail on May 29 for Sydney, and will leave Sydney on June 8 and Wellington on June 13 for Rarotonga, Papeete, and San Francisco. The Marama is due at San Francisco on May 29 from Sydney and Wellington. She will leave San Francisco on June 2 for Papeete, Rarotonga, and Wellington. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Present indications are for freshening easterlies northwards of Kawhia and East Cape and moderate and variable winds with southerlies to westerlies ruling elsewhere ; weather cool and changeable generally, but unsettled at times in the far north and south; barometer unsteady in northern districts.
