As a result of the visit of Mr T. M. Wilford, M.P., leader of the United Liberal and Labour Party, to Hawke’s Bay, Messrs Gilbert McKay and A. E. JulL Liberal candidates at the last election for Hawke’s Bay and Waipawa respectively, have been chosen to stand in the party’s interests at the next election (saps a Napier Peras Association telegram). Mr Jull has asked for time to consider the matter. A Wellington Press Association telegram states that the Prime Minister left Wellington to-day for the north, where ho will open the Franklin Winter Show at Pukekohe.
