DONKEYMAN’S SUDDEN DEATH. TIMARU, May 15. An inquest was held to-day into die death of Henry Thomas Green, 57, a donkeyman, on the s. s. Woodarra, who died suddenly at sea 24 hours before the steamer reached Timaru on Sunday. The evidence of his mates showed that deceased had been in good health and had never complained. At mid-day on Saturday he was found on his kness and his head on the floor in the lavatory, and when carried out for the doctor to see him he was dead. An autopsy by Dr Gabites revealed no possible cause of death except a small cyst on the brain, and the doctor concluded that this caused an epileptic fit and that death was due to asphyxiation through deceased failing in a fit in. a position that obstructed his breathing. The coroner found a verdict accordingly.
