CHURCH AND DANCING
A PRESBYTERY RESOLUTION. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 10. The question of the attitude to be adopted by congregations and members of the Presbyterian churches to dancing was the subject of a lengthy motion, approved by the Christchurch Presbytery, which passed a resolution to the effect that, while dancing was not discountenanced in the Bible, it was not helpful to spiritual life and many modern dances were vulgar and indecorous; also that the particularly deprecate raising money for church purposes by means of dances.”’
