A STOLEN YACHT
SAILED OUT OF AUCKLAND. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 19. An auxiliary yacht answering to the description of the Raata, reported to have been stolen from her anchorage in the Harbour last Wednesday night, was seen by the Wairuna at midday on Monday 286 miles from Auckland, heading for the Kermadecs. Three men could be seen in the cockpit. The stolen yacht had two months’ provisions on board, as the owner was taking her for a prolonged stay at the Great Barrier. The owner, Mr William Standish, recently bought the yacht and had her refitted. She is now worth £BOO.
