A start was made on Monday to transfer cargo from the steamer Tasmania to the holds of the steameu Kaimanawa and Broxton at Port Chalmers. When sufficiently lightened the Tasmania will go into dry dock for repairs. The Paloona left Melbourne yesterday for Wellington, Lyttelton and Bluff. MAIL STEAMERS. The Niagara is due at Vancouver on Saturday from Sydney and Auckland. She will leave Vancouver on May 19 for Honolulu, Suva, and Auckland, due there on May 5 for Wellington, where she is due on May 27. She will sail on May 29 for Sydney.
