SYDNEY, May 5, (Received May 5, 7.30 p.m.) The chairmen of the voluntary wheat pool gives a cheering review of its work. Of 23,000,000 bushels received by the pool 12,000,000 were sold locally and overseas at an average price of 5/6, and 3,000,000 bushels wc. j reserved for local consumption. The bulk of the bagged wheat had been already handled, including that from districts where there was immediate danger from rat and mouse plagues. The administrative charges amounted to a farthing a bushel. When all charges were met it was anticipated that farmers would receive 4/8 to 5/- per bushel.
