The Prince was accorded an enthusiastic reception by the great crowds lining the streets en route to Omiya Palace, where he resides a week. In the afternoon the Prince visited and placed wreaths in the mausoleum of the late Emperor in the presence of high dignitaries. At night there was a great lantern procession.
