MISHAP TO PARFA. THE AVIATOR INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.,—Copyright.), (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) MELBOURNE, August 4. After travelling forty miles in the flight round Australia, Lieutenant Parer’s engines developed trouble. He landed safely and sent his companions away to obtain wood for overhauling purposes. While they were away Parer started to overhaul the engine. In the strong wind he overbalanced and his leg and feet became caught in the revolving propeller. His big toes was broken and both his feet were badly bruised. He is suffering severely from exposure. When his companions returned they removed him to hospital. EXTENT OF INJURIES UNKNOWN. MELBOURNE, August 4. (Received August 4, 10.25 p.m.) Lieutenant Parer is badly bruised, but until an examination is made it will not be known whether any bones are broken. He states that when he recovers and the machine is fitted with a new propeller he will make a fresh start.
