MORE TROUBLE LOOMING. WAGE REDUCTION AT A MINE. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 9. Another coal trouble appears to be in sight. Mr Arbuckle, secretary of the Coal Miners’ Federation, stated that the owners of the New Brighton mine had notified the men of a reduction of 2s per ton as from June 6. Mr Arbuckle said that the Federation had given the manager of the mine until Monday to pay, the old rates, and failing compliance the men would bo called out. The Federation would then decide whether all the miners would cease working or what action would be taken.
