ASIA MINOR
ATROCITIES BY GREEKS. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, May 18. The Times Constantinople corrcspdonent states that a commission is inquiring into alleged Greek atrocities in Asia Minor, and reports finding villages burned and bodies of the dead, including women, all within a few miles of the Greek divisional headquarters. Apparently this was the work of the Greek and Armenian irregulars. The Commission warned the Greek divisional commander that he would be held responsible for any further atrocities. The Greeks declare that irregulars are necessary in retaliation against the Turkish Nationalists’ employment of irregulars.
