FALLING PRICES
ACTION OF AMERICAN FARMERS. (By Telegraph—Press. Assn.—Copyright.) (Reuter’s Telegrams.) NEW YORK, November 18. The National Farmers’ Union Conference at Kansas City decided on united action to counteract falling prices. They claimed that farmers were robbed of a billion dollars owing to the reduction in the values of products. All the farmers were advised to hold their grain until profit-making levels were reached. PRODUCERS’ STRIKE ADVOCATED. NEW YORK, November 18. (Received November 20, 12.15 a.m.) The National Farmers’ Union at Kansas City sent a request to its members, who are said to number -800,000 throughout the country, urging the organisation of a producers’ strike in grain, cotton, wool, and live stock, as retaliation for the abnormal deflation of prices through which American fanners have lost a billion dollars.
