After landing mails and North Inland passengers, the lonic will proceed to Lyttelton, and later to Port Chalmers to discharge her Home cargo. Gable advice has been received by the £haw, Savill and Albion Company that the liner Arawa left London on November 11 for Auckland and Wellington via Panama. The vessel is due at Auckland about December 25 and at W ellinglou about January 7. MAIL STEAMER NIAGARA.

The R.M .S. Niagara left. Vancouver at 7 o clock on Wednesday, ttie Irth in-t., for Honolulu, Suva, and Auckland. She is due St Auckland on December 5.

The Dominion Meteorologist reports;— The barometer rose during Thursday night, and moderate to strung south-westerly and ■westerly winds have prevailed. The weather has been changeable, but fair to cloudy conditions have ruled to-day. Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds, veering to freshening northerlie?; weather unsettled at times in the northern and southernmost districts, but fair to cloudy with increasing cloudiness generally; the barometer has a falling tendency.
