Following the Czechs’ destruction of the statue of the Austrian Emperor Francis Joseph at Teplitz the Germans raided Czech schools, colleges, and libraries and threw thousands of books into the streets. Czechs entered German houses and institutions and destroyed all portraits of the exEraperors Karl and William.
