EDUCATION DEPARTMENT’S EFFORT. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, No-r' er 17. The Minister of Educator/. a communication with the training . oges regarding the proposed 50 per ce. .. increase in the number of new 7 students next year. This increase is part of the effort that the Education Department is making to overcome the shortage of qualified teachers. The scheme will involve the use of temporary quarters at Auckland and some other centres where the present accommodation is inadequate.
