A CARTERTON MYSTERY

DISAPPEARANCE OF HOTELKEEPER’S WIFE. (Per United Press Association.) CARTERTON, June 22. The strange disappearance of Mrs Tom Holland, wife of the licensee of the Club Hotel, occurred on Sunday. She left the hotel a few minutes after seven clock for church, and has not been seen since. A search has been made all round, but there is no sign of the missing lady. There is no cause why she should disappear,, though she has been in bad health for some time past. She had never fully recovered from the loss of a son, Sergeant Holland, who died in the epidemic of 1919. Parlies arc still searching. She was recently a resident of Napier.
