(Received June 23, 1.5 a.m.) The Evening News understands that the Cuiu rd Line is building several 20,000 ton liners for the Australian trade, and is also putting on a fast new service between San Francisco and Australia. RIOTS AT HULL. CONFLICTS BETWEEN WHITE AND BLACK SAILORS. LONDON, June 20. As a result of a serious conflict between while and black sailors at Hull, the contents of five houses were completely wrecked and 16 men were sent to hospital. The trouble was due to the increasing numbers of blacks seen in the company of while women. Two blacks' have been arrested. BOY SCOUTS. WORLD-WIDE GATHERING IN LONDON. LONDON, June 21. The Government are giving full approval and assistance to the scheme for a world-wide gathering of Boy Scout organisations in London in August. All the dominions arc sending contingents; and also American and foreign countres. THE P. AND O. LINE. AUSTRALIAN FARES RAISED. LONDON, June 21. (Received June 22, 10,20 p.m.) The Peninsular and Oriental Company has raised fares to Australia, single first saloon £ 165 to £170;-second saloon £lls to £l2O. NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN. ISSUED IN LONDON. LONDON, Juno 21. (Received June 22 8.45 p.m.) The New South Wales loan of £2.500,000 bearing interest at the rate of 61 per cent, is.-ned at par and repayable in 1930 and 1940, i- being underwritten.
