BAR SHOALING
VESSELS HELD UP AT GREYMOUTH. (Per United Press Association). GREYMOUTH, December 2. There is still a great congestion of shipping in the port, no less than eight steamers being unable to get away owing to shoaling on the bar, due to heavy westerlies. The Harbour Board is meeting tonight to consider means to overcome the difficulty. _________
