OVERCOMING FOG
NEW WIRELESS DEVICE. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, May 22. Receiver I June 4, 1.5 a.m. Mr Godfrey Isaacs states that a wireless device is available which will enable vessels to ascertain their position in a fog and detect the approach and approximate distance of other vessels. The new transmitter will enable persons flying to know where they are as easily as a railway passenger looking out of a window. It could also be fitted on lightships and buoys to warn shipping.
