PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN DUBLIN. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) DUBLIN, May 1. Dublin workers declared Thursday a public holiday. The newspapers, trains, and public services were suspended. THE NEW YORK RIOT. THREE POLICEMEN SHOT. NEW YORK, May 2. The New York World’s Boston correspondent states that three policemen were shot and a number of persons injured in the May Day riots between, soldiers, sailors and Radicals. THE OUTBREAK IN PARIS. POLICE CASUALTIES 250. PARIS, May 2. Received May 4, 5.5 p.m. The night passed quietly. There were 250 police wounded, 115 seriously. The civilian casualties are not stated. The crowd used revolvers at several points. One of the crowd was shot dead at the Place de I’Opera. The injuries were chiefly due to sabres, batons and sticks. A meeting of the General Confederation of Labour condemned the Government's action. They meet to-day to consider the situation. The Socialists will interpellate the Government when the Chamber meets.
