WOOL-SCOURING WORKS GUTTED. (Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 1. Fire was discovered early this morning in Clarke’s wool-scouring works at Woodhaugh, a three-storey wooden building valued at about £SOO, containing' plant valued at £BOO and 100 bales of wool pressed and ready, belonging to the Imperial Government. The building and plant were gutted. The wool, value dat £3OOO was partially burnt. Roughly, £ISOO worth was saved. There were no insurances on the building or plant.
