ALBION THEATRE. The remarkably successful stage-play, “Kick In,” has been converted into a motion drama by Patbe and proves to be as diverting and stirring as in the original. This feature will be shown at 2.15 p.m. to-day, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. to-night. The story ia by Willard Mack and features popular Mollie King. The story chiefly concerns a “crook” who, upon meeting the heroine, makes a vow to go straight. And so he does, but fate attempts by every means imaginable to pull him back to the old life. A terrible complication arises when his pal, trying to elude the police, and badly wounded, finds his way to his flat; he finally dies there, and when the dead man is discovered on his pal’s premises everything seems black and escape seems only to be got by going back to his old life. But the heroine, by great presence of mind, saves the situation and all ends happily. The 11th Episode of “Mystery of the Double Cross’ is also screened with the latest world events. “THE BELOVED TRAITOR.’' Mae Marsh, who will be remembered for her fascinating work in “Intolerance” and “Polly of the Circus,” is the heroine of the Goldwyn de Luxe production which will be screened to-day and three succeeding nights at the Popular Picture Palace. Miss Marsh has - a role for which her distinctive and winsome personality is specially adapted. As a young girl reared in a fishing village she is loved by Judd Minot, and loves him in return. Judd spends his spare time modelling in mud, and one fateful day an art fancier views his work and induces him to go to New York and study. Fame and fortune came to him, and he had almost forgotten the fisher-girl who had been his inspiration and to whom he owed his success, but the old love was awakened in a dramatic manner, which forms a powerful climax. The picture is beautifully produced and the scenery is superb.
