THE DOMINION TOURNAMENT. (Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, January 16. The rink competition of the Dominion Bowling Tournament was continued to-day under perfect bowling conditions. The matches had an important bearing on the result as they determined the section winners. All having seven wins or over out of the nine games qualify for taking part in semi-finals to be entered upon to-mor-row. These will be played on the sudden death principle, any rink beaten dropping out tii! the winner is found. To-day’s play left a record as follows; Section A.—Johnston (Dunedin), Wylie (Tchiwi i, and Fraser (United) eaah 7 wins, 2 losses; Smith (Gisborne! and Haldane (Nelson) each 6 wins and 3 losses. Section B.—Noble (Newtown) and Watts (Otago) each 7 wins and 2 losses; Cormack (Caledonian) G wins and 3 losses. Section C.—Pastier (Caversham) and Smellie (Green Island) each 7 wins and. 2 losses; Parker (Auckland), 6 wins and 3 losses. Section D. —Casey (Ponsonby), 8 wins and 1 loss; Cameron (St. Kilda) and Wilson (Auckland), each 6 wins and 3 losses. Section E.—Colville (Edgeware), 8 wins and 1 loss; Dali (Dunedin), Foster (Caledonian) and Wylie (Kaiapoi), each 0 wins and 3 losses. Section F.—Walker (Ponsonby) has the only unbroken rink in the competition. Bailey (Haitaitai) had 7 wins and 2 losses. Hain (Northend) and Calder (Phoenix) each had six wins and 3 losses. Section G.—Smith (Otago) 7 wins and 2 losses; Magnus (Wellington) and Miller (Park) had 6 wins and 3 losses. Section H. —Gray (Kelbume), 7 wins and 2 losses; Smart (Stratford), Gillies (Dune.din) and McDougall (Christchurch) each 6 wins and 3 losses.
