SEPTEMBER'S WEATHER

ANOTHER GOOD MONTH. The month of September, like the previous month, has been a very mild one, and shows a decided decrease in rainfall; and the wind, while coming in a goodly number of instances from the east, shows many' more westerly and north-westerly breezes than was the case during August. Nearly an inch less rain fell during September, and higher temperatures were recorded all round, the highest being on the 23rd, when 74 degrees were registered. Following is the table as compiled from readings taken at Lennie’s Waikiwi Observatory at 9 a.m. daily:—
