BEIRUT BOMBED. CRUISER AND AEROPLANES INFLICT DAMAGE. [By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.] [Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, Sept. 30. Received Sept. 30, 11.5 p.m. The Admiralty reports: Naval aeroplanes on Thursday bombed storehouses on the south-western side of Beirut harbour. Many direct hits were observed, and fires were started. All our machines returned. A cruiser shelled, and set fire, to storehouses and other buildings.
