BRITISH OPERATIONS. RECORD AERIAL RESULTS. USEFUL WORK FAR BEHIND ENEMY LINES. (Australian & N.Z. Cable Assn. & Reuter.) LONDON, September 6. Received September 6, 9.40 p.m. Sir Douglas Haig reports: We drove back raiders eastward or Klein Zillebeke. Artillery activity continues on the Ypres front. Enemy aeroplanes bombed various places, including a hospital area, causing a few casualties. We brought down a raider. Our aeroplanes and balloons co-oper-ated with tne artillery yesterday, despite vigorous attacks, and secured a record number of photographs, of which many were taken at great distances behind the lines. Enemy aeroplanes are disinclined to fight, except well east of their lines. We brought down thirteen enemy machines, and seven of ours are missing. THE AISNE HEIGHTS. RENEWAL OF GERMAN EFFORTS. TWO ATTACKS REPULSED. LONDON, September 6. Received September t», 8.45 p.m. French communique: After a violent bombardment the Germans launched two attacks against California Plateau, which were repulsed. There were lively artillery duel on both banks of the Meuse.
