IMPORTANT JUDGMENTS
SUPPLYING PROHIBITED PERSONS (Per United Press Association.) * NEW PLYMOUTH, September 6. . An important judgment was delivered ia the Supreme Court to-day, when it was decided that a prohibition order addressed to licensed persons within any particular district, is of no effect so far as regards licensed persons outside that district. The effect of Mr Justice Chapman’s judgment is that .whilst it is unlawful for a prohibited person to obtain liquor in outside districts, it is quite lawful for licensed persons in such districts to supply him* even if they know of the existence of thq order, though the prohibited person if liable — a rather queer state of affairs.
