MR HENDERSON’S PLACE. OFFERED TO MR BARNES. TALK OF GENERAL ELECTION, (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (United Service.) LONDON, August 13. Received August 13, 9.30 p.m. The Rt. Hon. G. N. Barnes has been offered Mr Henderson’s place in the War Cabinet, anil has asked time to consider. His acceptance, with the unanimous approval of his Labour colleagues in Cabinet, is considered certain. Mr Henderson’s statement in the House on the 13th, is anxiously awaited. A leading Minister suggests that only a general election will solve the serious crisis.
