THE KAISER'S HOROSCOPE
STA<j<JERING DEFEAT INEVITABLE.
In the New York World, John C. Hackett, an American writer, who has been a life-long student of astrology, presents an interesting forecast, based_ on the "old-time laws of astrological science,” of the fate of the rulers of the five principal belligerent nations In Europe, says the Central News. Concerning the Kaiser he says : “The directional influences in the Kaiser’s horoscope at present are very unfortunate, and the eclipse of January 28 threatens great trouble. A staggering defeat w r ould seem inevitable in tba near future. His Imperial Majesty, in fact, is facing the blackest hours In his entire career. Saturn, the planet of ignominy and defeat is about to retrograde in his Majesty’s ascendant. "Death will hover over the Kaiser about February 1. Of the events of human life, none is more difficult to forecast, astrologically, than death. Toward the end of January, it may be learned that he has died of heart disease—diagnosed as syncope. Should January and February pass him unscathed, he will get a new lease of life in April, defeat bis enemies, and June will find him at the crest of a fresh wave of success. The accession of the Emperor Charles to the Austrian throne was a terrible fatality at this time. _ As long as he and the Emperor continue to exist, the Emperor Charles will be a millstone about the Kaisers neck; a leech and an exhauster of the Kaisers vitality July promises activities in connection with the signing of treaties, and late August may bring an armistice. It Will not endure and the end of September threatens a renewal of hostilities between the Kaiser, King George, and the Tsar. The Kaiser will then meet with some crushing reverses, and, in its important units, his navy will be wiped out.”
