JAPANESE ELECTIONS
GOVERNMENT VICTORIOUS,
(By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) TOKIO, April 23. In the elections the Government was victorious. The strength of parties is estimated at : Government 217, Opposition 164 seats. This is interpreted as an expression of confidence in the leadership of Marshal Terauchi, the Premier, who is expected to emphasise Japan’s support of the Entente.
