Information smuggled through to evade the censorship gives details of the fiercest fighting at Lima, Cuzco, Callao, and Arequipa. Many have been killed and wounded. The son of Admiral Grays, of the Peruvian Navy, was assassinated. Peruvian warships were dismantled to prevent the rebels seizing them. The Government House at Lima is surrounded by ’troops.- It Is predicted that the President will resign. The cause of the outbreak is obscure.
