THE MARAMA

TIHARU RECEPTION. (Per United Press Association.) TIMARU, March 9„ The hospital ship Marama called today to land twenty Timaru men, and remained all day to give the public an opportunity to inspect the vessel. There was a formal reception, lunch to the officers, staff, and invalids, motor drives, and tea in the park. Beautiful weather and cheap fares assisted to bring hundreds from the country, and a big crowd assembled at the wharf, and for a time an unseemly crush prevailed, many females fainting. The ship was thrown open and was full of visitors all afternoon.
