TRUSTEES AND EXPERT ADVISERS. EFFICIENCY BOARD RECOMMENDATIONS. THE APPOINTMENTS MADE. (Per United Press Association.) . WELLINGTON, March 8. Sir Jas. Allen stated to-day. that Cabinet had agreed to the recommendations of the National Efficiency Board with regard to the appintment of certain boards of trustees and expert advisers. These appointments were as. follows > Expert advisers —James Begg (Mosgiel), expert adviser on agricultural and pastoral questions for Dunedin district ; E. P, Burbury,' expert adviser in connection with primary products ia Canterbury district. Boards of trustees to deal with soldiers farms :
Dunedin district: Messrs James Begg (Mosgiel), James Farquharson (National Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd., Dunedin), Geo. Watford Sare (N.Z. Doan and Mercantile Co., Dunedin). Invercargill district : Messrs R. A. Anderson (,J. G. Ward and Co., Invercargill), A. F. Hawke (National Mortgage and Agency Co., Invercargill), Donald Macdonald (Edendale, farmer). Gore distz'ict : Messrs P. C. Gray (Wright, Stephenson and Co., Gpre), John Turnbull (Waikaka, farmer), K. F. Wallis (R. F. Wallis, Ltd., Gore, fellmongers, woolbuyers, and frozen meat exporters). Sir Jas. Allen said that these gentlemen were all that had been appointed so far, but other recommendations In regard to appointments had still to come before Cabinet. “This process will go on," added Sir James, “until we have covered the country with a sufficient number of expert advisers and trustees for farms." The question •of trustees for businesses "is also under consideration.
