Mr Bates’ weather summary: Atmospheric pressure has continued above normal, and moderate to strong southerly and south-easterly winds have predominated. The weather has been cool and changeable generally. with occasional showers in the East Coast district. Thunderstorms have occurred in the far north. Present indications arc for moderate to strong south-easterly winds, hacking to northerlies, the barometer falling everywhere shortly; weather unsettled at times in northern and southernmost districts, and increasing haze and cloudiness probable with a change following generally about the middle of the week.
