COUNTESS OF LIVERPOOL LEAGUE

The committee of the Mataura Countess of Liverpool League met on Tuesday afternoon, ten ladies being present, and the president, Mrs Lowden, in the chair. Twenty-nine complete monthly parcels were packed and forwarded to Dunedin. A donation to the League Funds was received from the Highland Society concert, per Mr A. N. Mac Gibbon, £2 18s Bd, also a donation to the League’s Parcel .Fund from the Wallace Concert Party, per Mr J. W. Beattie, £lO. Other donations : Mrs G. Hay 2s 6d, Mrs Gardine ss, Mrs J. Reid 2s 6d, Mrs J. Adams 2s 6d, Mrs Friend 1 cocoa, 1 milk, 1 soup; Mrs G. Bigwood 2 sardines, 2 cigarette papers; Mrs J. W. Beaty 3 milk, 2 cocoa; Mrs A. Caithness 1 cocoa, 1 milk, 3 soup: Mrs Lowden 2 milk, 1 sardines; Miss Pryde 2 chocolates, 1 writing tablet: Miss Pryde 1 milk, 1 cocoa, 1 sardines; Miss R. Pryde 1 milk, 1 cocoa, 1 sardines; Miss Scott 1 milk, 1 coffee; Mrs F. Brown 2 tins lollies; Mrs Wassell 1 scarf; Miss Wassell 1 scarf, 1 writing tablet and envelopes; Mrs Lorenz 2 fish, 1 milk; Mrs A. Dickie 2 pair sox. 5 handkerchiefs; Mrs P. Mortimer (Tuturau) 4 pair sox; Mrs Grant 2 milk, 1 beef tea; Mrs H. Cajmeron 1 milk, 1 cocoa, 2 cigarettes, 1 soap: Miss Falconer (Ferndale) 1 milk, 1 cocoa, 1 sardines, 1 herring in tomato: Miss Barratt 2 balaclavas, 1 knitted vest; Mrs McLeod (Brydone) 2 pair sox; Miss McQuillan 1 pair sox.
