INQUEST AT TE TUA

An inquest was hold at Tuatapere on Saturday touching the death the previous evening at To Tua of .lolin Henry Fisher, sawmill hand, aged years. Mr A. M. Dawson lading coroner) presided. Kvidence was given showing that tindeceased, who was a widower, visited Tuatapere on Friday, had two shandygaffs in the hotel there, and returned to Te Tua, accompanied hy a nephew. He took a bottle of whisky with him and consumed some of the liquor after reaching his nephew’s house. Hater he lay on a sofa, when his breathing became difficult, and he died soon after. A post-mortem examination was held, and the medical evidence was that there were no marks of violence either internal or external, and that death was due to syncope caused by deceased overloading his stomach with food and liquor, which consequent on the condition of the deceased’s heart and lungs, was sufficient to account for death. • The verdict of the acting-coroner was iu, accordances with the. medical evidence.
