RECRUITING
THE NINETEENTHS. (Per United Press Association.} WELLINGTON, July 11. Recruiting for the 19th Reinforcements is proceeding satisfactorily, and present indications point to the draft being unite full before - the last week of this month, when the men are due to go into camp to start training. Official figures of the shortage for the infantry and all other arms of the service as at date of Friday, 7th inst., are as follows :
Group No. 1, Auckland City, nil. Group No. 2, Paeroa, nil. Group No. 3, Whangarei, shortage 35. Group No. 4, Hamilton, shortage 9. Total shortage for Auckland military district, 44. Group No. 5, Wellington City, shortage 14.
Group No. (5, Palmerston North, surplus 12. Group No. 7, Napier, shortage 33. Group No. 7a, Masterton, surplus 7. Group No. S, Hawera, surplus 10. Total shortage for Wellington military district, 18. Group No. 9, Christchurch City, shortage 31. Group No. 10, Timaru, surplus 7. Group No. 11. Kaiapoi, shortage 3. Group No. 11a,. Greymouth, shortage •►O Um,
