BENAIORE AND HILDERTHORPE. SMALL GRAZING AND PASTORAL RUNS. The small grazing and pastoral runs into which the Benmore run has been subdivided are now open for lease, and applications will be received up to Monday, Alarch 13, at 4 p.ra. The following are the small- grazing runs for lease, which will be disposed of by ballot: —

Sale plans have not been received at the Dunedin office, but are expected in about a week. The Hilderthorpc Settlement, north of Oamaru, will be subdivided into 22 sections, the smaller of which range from 10 to 24 acres, while there are two larger sections of 209 and 232 acres respectively. The land is situated on the main Dunedin-Christchurch line, about eight miles and a-half from Oamaru. At Pukeuri Junction, three miles distant, there are important freezing works. Access is obtained by very good roads. The land is flat, and is about 50ft above sea level. It is hoped to provide small homes here, so that men working at the freezing works may utilise the land in their spare time.
