(Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, February 23. There was a large yarding of fat. cattle at Burnside, 260 being penned. Prices were much easier, and the quality on the whole was only medium. Best bullocks, £l6 to £l7 10/-; medium, £l2 10/- to £l3 10/-; inferior, £lO 10/- to £11; best cows and heifers, £l2 10/- to £l4; me-' dium, £lO to £11; inferior, £8 10/- to £9. Fat Sheep—3ooo penned, quality very mixed. Prices for prime sheep, evenly drafted, were firm, but a number of pens were so mixed in quality that freezing buyers could not bid for them. Best wethers, 26/- to 31/-; extra, 33/6 to 34/9; medium, 22/- to 24/-; inferior. 18/- to 19/0; best ewes, 23/- to 25/-; medium, 10/- to 21/-; inferior, 14/- to 16/-. Small yarding of fat lambs, 600 penned and the quality was only fair, the majority being light and second grade. Prime sold well, but medium quality was erratic. Best, 19/- to 21/-; medium, 17/to IS/-; inferior, 14/- to 16/-. Medium yarding of fat pigs, which sold well at up to last week's rates. Stores were in over supply and realised much lower prices. Baconers, 80/- to 90/-; porkers, 60/- to 05/-; stores, 24/to 26/-; slipes, 10/- to 12/-; good suck- - ers, 7/- to 9/-; inferior, 3/- to 4/6. ADDINGTON MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, February 23. At Addington ■ live stock market there were medium entries of stock, except store sheep, which were offered in large numbers. Fat cattle were rather firmer. Store sheep were in keen demand at last week's rates, also fat'lambs. Fat sheep were rather firmer. High rates were paid for store cattle, and store pigs were in strong demand. Store Sheep—Forward lambs, 14/6 to 17/4; ordinary lambs, 10/6 to 14/-; inferior lambs, 7/6 to 10/3; cull lambs. 5/1 to 7/3; good ewe lambs, 14/6 to 16/10; ordinary ewe lambs, 12/11 to 13/9; good two and four-tooth wethers, 17/6 to 19/4; six and eight-tooth wethers, 19/- to 20/6; half bred two-tooth wethers, 13/6 to IG/G: forward two-tooth wethers to IS/9; fairly good sound-mouthed ewes, 18/6 to 20/-; ordinary soundmouthed ewes, 16/6 to 17/9; good twotooth ewes, 22/9 to 24/1; moderate twotooth owes, IS/9 to 19/6; four and fiveyear ewes, 15/- to 18/6; failing mouthed ewes, 13/6 to 16/-; inferior ewes, 10/6 to 13/-.
