A MAORI DESERTER

(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 22. A trial by Court-martial of a Maori charged with desertion from the forces while under orders to embark for active service, took place to-day. The accused was a member of the Third Native Reinforcements. He was found guilty and sentence was deferred.
