Mr Ward Prince, telegraphing from Salonika, states that Bulgarian deserters agree that Bulgar-German friction is becoming more serious. The Germans proposed to send large Bulgarian detachments to Russia and France, but the Bulgarians openly proclaimed that they did not desire to fight further, and considered that their duty was finished. During a squabble over some hay a Bulgarian officer ordered his men to draw their revolvers and fire, and the Germans were shot. GREEK APOLOGY. ROME, February 21. Received February 22, 2.30 p.m. A wireless message states that the Greek Government has decided to apologise to Italy for offensive language used to her Deputies in connection with the debate in regard to Corfu. Received February 22, 2.30 p.m. The President of the Deputies headed a deputation which tendered Parliament’s thanks to King Constantine for saving the nation at a critical time. When small nations were being overcome, King Constantino, within the limits of his prerogative, had taken drastic action. King Constantine replied, reiterating his love for the Constitution. He hoped that harmonious and sincere co-operation would secure the national aims. GERMAN AGENT RE CALLED, WASTING BRIBE MONET. ATHENS, February 21. Received February 22, 2.30 p.m. Von Schenck, Germany’s chief propagandist, lias mysteriously departed. It is believed he has been summoned to Berlin to explain the expenditure of 1175,000 with unsatisfactory results.
